The textbook is an integral (the first) part of the popular educational complex "Matryoshka", but it can also
be used independently.
It is intended for everyone who wants to learn Russian from scratch, as well as for those who once learned
it, but want to restore and replenish their knowledge. This course allows you to learn how to read and write in
Russian, to communicate at an elementary level in Russian, and to understand Russian speech by ear. It consists
of 20 small lessons, the letters and sounds of the Russian language, the rules of writing and reading them, and
Russian intonation are considereded. Each lesson also has a variety of speech models, dialogues, and texts.
The textbook is accompanied by a Russian-English dictionary.
